Notes from Terry

January 2010

Well another year has passed as well as a decade. As I was rehearsing in my music room the other day I was looking at the three CD covers on my wall. It took me back to 1999 when my life was changed forever. I guess it really does take a miracle or a tragedy to wake someone up. For me it was the latter or maybe both. When faced with adversity I think we either retreat into ourselves or we struggle to break free, either way we are forced to make a choice. I still reminisce about the gift I’ve been given. Every time I write a new song I feel like I’m still opening the gift. I look on in amazement at everything I have accomplished in 10 short/long years and I’m eternally grateful. I will continue writing and Performing and taking care of my beautiful family. I ask myself what does writing a blog have to do with being a musician and the answer comes easily, staying connected. I’ll see you out there...

Words to live by: LIVE and live each day in gratitude and continue to enjoy all the love and rich blessings that you’ve been given and let every possibility happen with ease.

Continuing the Journey....

March 3, 2008

Since we live in Olympia it is just a short commute to Portland, Oregon.  We played our first gig there at Artichoke Community Music last Saturday night.  What a sweet venue!  We were made to feel very welcome with warm smiles, hugs and coffee.  Jim and Richard thank you so much!  The audience was truly a pleasure to play for.  Pure Thanks go out to Dan’l for the connection!

And so it continues and begins…..

February 20, 2008

After 25 years of living in Anchorage Alaska we have relocated to Olympia, Washington.  A very beautiful and peaceful place.  We moved here in late August and have since toured performing at venues in California and Idaho.  Six months later on February 15th, and during one of the coldest months of the year, I found myself back in Alaska for 3 nights of amazing music.  It was so great to go home and feel the warmth and love from my best friends in Alaska.  Many thanks go out to everyone who attended our shows.  On Sunday evening Jerry and I played at a fabulous House Concert in Anchorage hosted by Jose and Claudia.  They were the perfect hosts with lovely friends.  We really had a great time!

I want to update everyone about the progress of my new CD.  The move from Alaska to Olympia really took a big chunk of time, but we are finally feeling settled.  Thank you to everyone for being so patient.  I have found a studio in Seattle where we are finishing the record and we are making good progress.  The plan is to release the CD in late spring 2008 with a tour to follow.
